Astranis has upgraded its fourth SpaceX launch to a dedicated Falcon 9 mission, the company announced on Oct. 26. The rocket is expected to carry all six MicroGEO satellites from the company's "Block 4" production run in 2028.

Astranis said an Impulse Helios upper stage is to place the six spacecraft directly into geostationary orbit, known as GEO.

The company said the deal amends a contract signed with SpaceX in late 2024 and gives Astranis the full payload capacity on the mission.
