Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp said on Oct. 24 that the Vehicle Access Tower at the company's Launch Complex 36 (LC-36) in Florida "is fully assembled, with every module repaired and back in place." The Orlando Sentinel has described it as the pad's main launch tower, which survived the May 28 explosion that destroyed a New Glenn first stage.
Limp tracked the final steps in posts on X. On Oct. 23, he wrote that Module 8 was "the last full-size module that gets flown" and that it brought the structure to more than 130 meters above sea level. The next day he reported that Module 9 was done and called the work "a monumental effort."
The Sentinel reported in September that the tower's modules had been removed and refitted, and that the company began moving the refurbished modules back to restack them earlier that month. Limp said the team installed floors, pneumatics, electrical panels and backbone piping on the modules, according to the paper.
