The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has scheduled the GSLV-F18 mission to launch the NVS-03 navigation satellite on Oct. 30 at 23:51 IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, the agency said on X. That is 2:21 p.m. EDT on Oct. 30.

ISRO said GSLV-F18 is the 20th flight of India's Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle and that liftoff is planned from the Second Launch Pad. According to ISRO, the vehicle will place NVS-03, listed in its mission brochure at about 2,250 kilograms, into a geosynchronous transfer orbit.

ISRO said NVS-03 is the third satellite in its next-generation system envisaged for providing continuity of navigation services for the IRNSS series. The spacecraft carries an indigenous atomic clock along with procured ones, and it includes an L1 frequency in addition to existing L5 and S signals, the agency said.
