According to NASA, its astronaut Anil Menon and Joshua Kutryk of the Canadian Space Agency installed and deployed a new roll-out solar array outside the International Space Station on Oct. 29. NASA says it is the seventh array of this type on the station.
The spacewalk ran from 7:57 a.m. until 3:08 p.m. EDT, a total of 7 hours and 11 minutes, according to NASA.
NASA posted an image showing Menon atop Canadarm2, a Canadian-built robotic arm, beginning installation work on the station's port-side truss structure. The agency said the new array went onto its 2A electrical power channel.
