NG-3

The first reused booster flew, but the satellite ended up in a useless orbit.

Partial success April 19, 2026

Goal

  • Fly a reused booster for the first time and land it again.
  • Put AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird 7 satellite in its planned orbit.

What happened

The booster from NG-2 flew again and landed on Jacklyn again.

An upper-stage engine didn’t reach full thrust on its second burn, leaving the satellite too low to stay in orbit. It was brought down on purpose.
